S(HE)

He asked for her hand on a beautiful day, And she said yes since she felt the same way, Already being close friends, They became unbreakable as lovers. Their meeting was the work of destiny, On to bountiful years of journey, Each day passed without his company, With his voice soothing her like a symphony. Each second seemed like a year, Losing him was her biggest fear, She wanted to relive each memory of theirs, She came to realize how love was such a magical force. They were on either sides of the world, With so many dreams on hold. Even though they were miles apart, They were invincibly connected by heart. Her eyes were longing to see him smile, Her hands longed to feel his touch at least for a while, Her lips wanted a pair to rest on, And she yearned for his shoulder to lean on. They took a step into a new life, And he said with pride, she was his wife. From then on, his family became hers, New relationships bloomed like flowers. She caressed hi...

From Daughter to Wife

As she walks towards the altar, One last time as his daughter, His eyes gleam with pride, With her by his side. His love for her is a super power, Which will remain the same forever, Tears roll down like a river, He hugs her and she feels his body shiver. He is always her king and she, his princess, He is the cure in her times of distress, They have had lot of moments to cherish, Her love for him is never to diminish. As he gives his hand to her prince, With his face shining with bliss, She can feel his eyes speak, Which makes her feel slightly weak. With wedding bells ringing, And humming birds singing, They exchange rings, With a whole lot of blessings. As they step into a new life, As husband and wife, With a big bunch of dreams, Adding a lot of colors and themes. At this moment, she realizes, There are only two men in her life, One, who loves her expecting nothing in return, The other, who will never let her heart burn.

Caste Away

Confused since I'm born, we all look the same Breathe the same air, the food we eat is same Then why differentiate and cause such chaos At our own hands, we're nailed to the cross I dream of an India where each kid is born free  Free from the shackles snapped by such decree  The day we get united, The day we stop fighting That golden day we'll see the dawn of India Shining  The trigger to start writing a post on such a sensitive topic came from a series of incidents that I have witnessed over a long period of time. Each time I come across any incident related to caste based discrimination, I just wonder if God has spent so much time in marking a difference in all of his creations. For Him, every living being on Earth is the same. When the Almighty himself sees his creations as one, why have we divided them into thousands of groups?? Each time I witness any such incident, the sense of anger in me grows by hundred folds. And here I am, to vent out...

Addiction

You are my new addiction , You are full of fiction. You cheer me up when I am sad, You teach me life is not that bad . You take me into a new world , Of which I have no permanent hold. You keep me focused across pages, And travel with me for ages. You soothe me like a magic wand , Sitting graciously in my hand. You are the cure for my feelings of dearth , Some people just don't realize your worth. You are any man's best friend , The craze for you has no end. You stand elegantly in my shelf, One look at you, I lose myself . You may appear in any virtual form, Being paperless is not your norm. Old or new, white or yellow, You always rest under my pillow. I love you like my teddy bear, Of which you are so unaware. I may lend you or bend you, In the end, I always find you. You are the master of the game we play, Often I wonder, having nothing to say. With you, I have a strong chemistry , You win me over but how, is still a mystery . You are t...
